One of our favorite spaces at this year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House was Room 7: The Poolside Perch , designed by Oxford Design . This serene outdoor retreat perfectly encapsulated the effortless elegance and coastal charm that define Palm Beach living. We wanted to sit here, enjoy & relax, which is the point of the space. With a palette of soft blues, crisp whites, and sandy neutrals, the space radiated a relaxed sophistication, offering the ideal setting for unwinding by the water. Oxford Design masterfully blended layered textures, plush seating, and sculptural decor to create an inviting escape that feels both luxurious and livable. The thoughtful selection of materials—from woven rattan to sleek, weather-resistant upholstery—ensured both comfort and durability, making it a seamless extension of indoor living. Lush greenery and natural elements softened the space, enhancing its tranquil ambiance. The result was a harmonious blend of elegance and functionality , proving that outdoor design can be just as refined as any interior. At the 2025 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in West Palm Beach, Room 6 , designed by Nikki Levy Interiors , is an extraordinary transformation of a traditionally overlooked space—the staircase. This two-story gallery and staircase is nothing short of a show-stopping design moment , where color, texture, and movement come together to create an immersive and unexpected experience.

From the first step, the design draws you in. Walls painted in a dramatic gradient of deep corals and purples, sea greens, and moody blues shift dynamically as natural light moves through the space, creating an effect that feels almost alive. The staircase runner , a custom collaboration with RuggleUp , introduces oversized floral motifs , which reinforce the botanical theme while leading visitors upward in a rhythmic, organic flow. Benjamin Moore’s expertly curated palette enhances this interplay of dark and light, evoking both intimacy and grandeur .

What truly captivates, however, is the ceiling installation . Delicate sculptural floral accents by Roland DGA cascade above, drawing the eye upward and adding an ethereal, floating effect. The contrast between these intricate details and the sleek alabaster-white furnishings from Made Goods creates a perfect balance—where drama meets restraint, and movement meets stillness.

Art plays a central role in the space’s storytelling. Thoughtfully curated pieces from CoCollect , featuring artists like Kalee Appleton and Allyson Monson , introduce an additional layer of texture and emotion, offering visitors moments of pause and reflection as they ascend. The careful interplay between strong architectural lines and organic, feminine elements makes this space feel both structured and poetic —a striking contrast that keeps the eye engaged.

By turning a functional passageway into a destination , Nikki Levy Interiors has demonstrated that even transitional spaces can be the heart of a home’s design narrative. This is more than just a staircase—it’s an experience that evolves with every step , lingering in the mind long after reaching the top.
