A signature thread of 1% Lurex is woven throughout the Atom's dense pile, lending a whisper of metallic shimmer and quiet glamour to its refined surface. Because Lurex is such a precious detail, every Lurex-woven rug in the Abyss collection is fitted with a nonslip backing — a practical measure that also works to beautifully lock the Lurex threads securely into the rug, protecting their luminous integrity for years to come. To preserve that delicate sparkle, a gentle touch is required at laundry time: after washing, always hang the Atom to air dry fully, then finish on an air-fluff cycle only — never apply direct heat. Heat is the enemy of Lurex, causing those fine metallic threads to curl inward and retreat into the pile. Treat the Atom with the care it deserves, and it will reward you daily with its beauty, warmth, and understated glamour.
